Israeli sources: Netanyahu is ready to return to negotiations without preconditions
The radio quoted Israeli sources said that "Netanyahu is ready to meet Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas either in Jerusalem or Ramallah in order to reactivate the peace process."
The White House spokesman called the Israeli and Palestinian sides to resume direct negotiations between the two to discuss all permanent status issues.
The spokesman refused to comment on the results of the elections in Israel, saying only that President Barack Obama will be contacted at a later date with Netanyahu to congratulate him on his victory in the elections.
