He Iran's ambassador to Turkey Reza Bakdly, that the dialogue between Ankara and Damascus would contribute to stop the bloodshed in Syria.

Said Bakdly, as quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA on Saturday, "Iran is ready to mediate in order to conduct such a dialogue," adding that "living the Syrian government and the opposition at the negotiating table is an important factor for the settlement of the crisis."

And added Bakdly, "that in the event of the failure of the international community in the investment opportunity of the Geneva Conference 2, Syria will turn into a second Afghanistan, then Turkey will bear the most harm." He stressed that his country and Turkey are working on the stability of Syria is that the methods followed by different countries, where Tehran believes that the Syrian issue connected with the people and their government only, considering that the western example applied in Libya during the revolution could turn the region into a second Afghanistan.
