Japanese Coast Guard monitors 3 Chinese ships near the Senkaku Islands

Japanese Coast Guard announced yesterday for monitoring the three Chinese surveillance ships outside Japanese waters near the disputed Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea area.

And NHK quoted officials as saying that the coast guard has been monitoring these ships, about 29 kilometers from the island of Otsory one of the Senkaku Islands.

The officials said that Chinese vessels being monitored by the approaching Japanese territorial waters since Japan's nationalization of the Senkaku Islands in September last year.

The officials pointed out that the Coast Guard continues to monitor the area around the clock.
